This Google guide provides a complete description of the latest search operators. It makes
no sense to repeat it here. Instead, I will focus on the most interesting
examples and their practical implications.
Search Queries:
Exact
Phrase:
"Latest
news" - finds
the exact phrase in the quotes. The result can be more accurate and relevant
than just typing the latest news without quotes.
Either
This or That,
latest news
OR gossips - search for all pages that have both words latest and news
simultaneously or pages that have the words latest and gossips.
This but
not That,
latest news
-gossips - Search for all pages that have both words latest and news
simultaneously but do not have gossips. Note, there should be no space (!)
Before gossips.
Historical
Figures,
Henry + viii
England - provides information on HENRY the Eights, King of England, but
excludes pages about other English Kings. Note the use of Roman numbers (i, ii,
iii, iv, v, vi, vii, viii, ix, x).

Related Words Unknown,
The latest *
SEO trends * news - * - wild-card symbol is a very powerful search
operator and lets you find phrases that contain unknown intermediate terms. In

As you can
see, Google tries to offer the best matches that expand on the query

Finding
Glossaries and Definitions,
SEO ~ glossary - Finds glossaries and
dictionaries about SEO, lists of terms and definitions.
Hyphenated
Words,
Case-sensitive
- Finds pages with all forms of this phrase, including the hyphenated form,
both of these words as a phrase or placed separately on the pages.
